My Pick of the Week!

In Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures, Ontario emergency room physician , Vincent Lam traces the careers of several young doctors. Beginning with the "grind" of med school, we see their first encounters with cadavers, and then the problems they face in various emergency situations. We also see how what happens in the ER affects the young doctor’s lives outside the hospital. These stories offer an understanding of the ways in which young doctors cope – or not! For fans of medical fiction – or ER! This collection of short stories won the Giller Prize.

Have you read or are you reading this book. Let me know what you thought about the book! Read any other good books lately, I would love to hear from you!
