Chris Carver was compelled to change his name to escape from his past as a radical political idealist. A university student at the London School of Economics during the turbulent 60's he began to live his life on the edge. These were heady times. The Vietnam War was at it's height and Chris became involved in terrorist activities and turned into a bomb throwing revolutionary. But a botched terrorist plot and the murder of a woman he loved pushed him in another direction and this is when he realized he was in too deep and in order to escape his unlawful and violent past he aquired a new name and identity . But his past catches up with him and he is forced to flee and leave behind his peaceful middle-class family life for the horror and loneliness of a life on the run.
