Fiction Pick of the Week: The Charlemagne Pursuit

The Charlemagne Pursuit by Steve Berry

Retired covert agent Cotton Malone is back to solve another historical mystery, but this one is personal. Cotton discovers that his father’s death aboard a US Navy submarine 35 years ago was not as the Navy had led him to believe. To search for the truth about his father’s death, Cotton must follow the quest his father was pursuing, from an ancient manuscript dating to the reign of Charlemagne to Nazi explorations of Antarctica in the 1930s. Steve Berry’s characteristic blend of historical fact with “what-if” and lots of action makes a compelling read.
