Wednesday's Pick!

This past week I just finished reading Barbara Delinksy's newest book Suddenly. Actually it was originally published as a paperback in 1994, but rereleased this year in hardcover. Paige Pfeiffer is a small town doctor in Tucker, Vermont. When her friend and colleague Dr. Mara O'Neill commits suicide, Paige is devastated and finds it difficult to cope. She can't understand why her friend would do something like this, especially since the baby she was adopting from India had just arrived in the United States. Paige decides to look after the baby, Sami, until another adoptive couple can be found. She also wants to find out what Mara was thinking and feeling and why Paige, as her close friend didn't know. Like many other Barbara Delinsky books I have read, this one does not disappoint with it's mix of small town life, family saga and romance. Will Paige fall for Noah Perrine, will she be able to give up Sami when a new adoptive family is found and what secrets does she discover about Mara and her other friends and colleagues Peter and Angie. So take some time off this weekend to give this book a try!
