Wednesday's Pick!

Three Weeks With My Brother by Nicholas Sparks is a moving account of the author’s family life from early childhood to present day. He begins the novel in the planning stages of a three week tour around the world with his brother Micah in 2003. The brothers had not been close for some time, and Nicholas thought it would be a good way to get to know each other again.
As Nicholas and Micah travel the world, the story of their family slowly unfolds. Part travelogue, part memoir, Sparks candidly brings his early years to life, painting a picture of love, humour, and adventure, mixed with poverty, marital strife, and personal loss. Despite the problems, the family maintains a strong bond, which becomes evident with the tragedies and challenges they come to face.
The brothers have a remarkable trip. Sparks describes each place they visit with vivid detail along with a good dose of humour. Their relationship is as strong as it was in their childhood by the time the journey is over. This autobiography provides the personal history which becomes the inspiration in the many novels he has written.
If you are a fan of the novels by Nicholas Sparks and would enjoy some insight into his life, or you like reading travel literature, you will enjoy this memoir.
