Bonus Pick!

I was working this weekend, so I thought I would post a bonus review. This book is by Jane Urquhart, who also wrote Burlington's OBOB title The Stone Carvers!

A Map of Glass takes place in the Kingston and Prince Edward County area of Ontario, and tells the story of Andrew Woodman and his ancestors, whose fortunes rise and fall with the tides of Ontario’s history. Jane Urquhart excels at bringing to life the lesser-known chapters of our past, and the story of the Woodman family, spanning a fascinating two centuries of Ontario’s history, is well worth persevering through the more cumbersome first part of the story, about an elderly woman and young artist whom Andrew’s death has brought together.
