BPL 2.0
Some of you may have noticed the invitation to try our new website on our Home page over the past few weeks. If you have followed the link, you may have seen our new catalogue. This new catalogue boasts some fun new features to make searching for books and other items more interactive. Customers can write reviews about the books they read; keep track of what they have borrowed and what they would like to save for later; apply star ratings and tags; and much more! Our new catalogue is powered by a system called Bibliocommons, and there is an interesting article from Tuesday's Globe and Mail about this local company. How timely!
Please see Toronto Startup Drags NY Libraries into the Future for the article. And if you're feeling particularly adventurous, give Bibliocommons a try for yourself on our new website!
