Inspired by the life of Doctor Maude Elizabeth Seymour Abbott, The Heart Specialist is the story of a young girl didn’t like playing with dolls. Agnes would rather dissect a squirrel. After all, her father was a doctor, and therein lies the mystery; the tale of Agnes haunted by a father she had not seen since she was very young. This story is primarily set in Montreal, where Dr. Agnes White becomes the first female doctor in the city.
