Non-Fiction Pick of the Week: The Happiness Project

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin 2009

Everyone wants to be happier. Colette once said “What a wonderful life I’ve had! I only wished I’d realized it sooner.”
Gretchen Rubin will inspire you to start your own happiness project as have the countless thousands who have followed her example. She spent a year searching for the secrets to happiness and to that end she kept a list, collected quotes, photos, books and websites to spark her creativity. She developed a plan to guide her thoughts and actions. Everyone’s plan will look different but the benefits of writing things down in a journal and making a list prove invaluable to the success that will surely follow.
Two “Splendid Truths” that Gretchen came up with are: “The days are long but the years are short” and “You’re not happy unless you think you’re happy”.
Read this book, start your own happiness project using the tips and techniques explored here and best of all have fun.
