Mysteries for Mathematical Minds

Do you get excited at the mention of prime numbers and the Fibonacci Sequence? Are you a closet “mathie”? If so, you may be interested in our new Mysteries 4 Mathematical Minds reading list. It includes thrillers, mysteries and adventure novels in which the characters use their mathematical skills and logic. If you liked the puzzle-solving component of The Da Vinci Code, then this list is for you.
We also have other items categorized under the Mathematics tag; and while some are nonfiction titles, others are fictional and include either mathematics in the plot or characters with a background in mathematics. If this sounds appealing, you could also check out the Mathematical Fiction web site maintained by Alex Kasman of the College of Charleston. Books in this database are rated for mathematical content and literary quality. With these links it will be very easy to factor some mathematical works into your reading equation. Oh, and don't forget to add the Good Book Psychic Blog to your list of Favourites!

Thanks to our resident "mathie" Melissa for this special guest post!

Thanks so much for posting this! It's a great list of books to read for the mathematically-minded, or for those who like working out puzzles. I've often thought that mystery fans were closet detectives, and math and science are such huge components of that. Problem-solving truly takes a clever, clear, logical mind. Thanks for the reading options!
