Fiction Pick of the Week: Cream Puff Murder
Cream Puff Murder by Joanna Fluke 2009
Joanne Fluke has done it again with her 11th Hannah Swensen mystery! This time Hannah stumbles upon another murder scene. Ronni Ward is not terribly popular with the women in Lake Eden, but she seems to be extremely popular with the men, married and single! Could one of the women in Lake Eden finally have had enough and drowned Ronni in the jacuzzi at Heavenly Bodies, the health club where she works? Things are particularly upsetting for Hannah as a plate of her cream puffs are at the murder scene, and her part-time boyfriend Mike Kingston, a local detective, is one of the suspects. Join Hannah as she continues to bake up great goodies and her family and friends help her try to solve the latest murder. And as always the recipes in the book look delicious. I'm just waiting to try lazy potato pancakes and chocolate chip mega cookies. This is a wonderful cozy mystery and a great read for a rainy day or a day at the beach. The only problem with finishing this book, is now I have to wait until the next title in the series is published.
