Friday's Bonus Pick!

Here's a bonus pick for this week! Check back at the end of next week for a new review, I'm taking some time off to catch up on my reading!!

The latest Robert Crais novel, Chasing Darkness, has LA PI Elvis Cole back on a new case. This is a plot driven story that doesn't let up. The story opens with an apparent serial killer, Lionel Byrd, shooting himself which allows the LAPD to close out seven murder cases. Cole is very interested in this shooting since a couple of years ago he worked for Byrd's lawyer uncovering evidence that cleared Byrd of a murder charge. Elvis Cole doesn't believe the neat and tidy package that the LAPD are selling to the press and the families of the murder victims. Elvis Cole begins to dig and the deeper he digs into this case the more it looks like there is a cover-up. Elvis is able to solve the case with the help of Joe Pike and Detective Carol Starkey, characters that we have seen in Crais novels before. For fans of Elvis Cole or readers looking for a great detective novel. Beware, I couldn't put the book down and read it in one day. Crais doesn't disappoint with his latest offering.
