Monday's Pick!

The Cure for Modern Life by Lisa Tucker

Matthew is a money hungry, high powered big shot who works as an executive for a large pharmaceutical company. Amelia is Matthew's former flame, an environmental do-gooder (who is also dating Matthew's brilliant best-friend, scientist Ben). (She is also Matthew's work enemy). One night, Matthew encounters Danny, a 10-year-old homeless boy, and his little sister Isabelle, on a bridge screaming for help. The Cure for Modern Life by Lisa Tucker revolves around Matthew's growing attachment to Danny and his toddler sister, and Amelia's realization that sometimes, people aren't always what they seem.
