My Pick of the Week!

Read another great mystery over the weekend! I admit I love mysteries without a lot of blood and gory details, so this one was perfect. Kilt Dead by Kaitlyn Dunnett finds 20 something Liss MacCrimmon, a dancer, deciding to return to her hometown after a knee injury forces her to retire from dancing. Liss decides to take some time and help her aunt, who runs the Scottish Emporium shop in Moosetookalook Maine, while she contemplates her future. Her aunt is off to Europe to judge Scottish dancing, so Liss is on her own. On her first day, her former schoolteacher and neighbour, Amanda Norris, is found dead in the shop under a bolt of custom kilt fabric with the Flower of Scotland plaid. Liss is very upset and becomes even more upset when the police make her the prime suspect. Will Liss and her handsome neighbour, and old friend, Dan Ruskin be able to find the real killer! I loved the small town feeling of the book, especially some of the unique characters. I won't give away too much, but the ending is great. I would highly recommend you give this book a read, if you like a good cozy mystery.
