Well I'm back from holidays with a great new book for you to read!
It's always satisfying to be able to recommend a new book and author, and John Hart's King of Lies definitely bears mentioning. The plot revolves around a murdered scion of the legal community and his wrongly accused son who takes steps to discover the identity of the real killer. Unraveling the mystery of his father's murder causes the hero to realize that he is trapped in a life that his father chose for him. While a mystery, it is also the story of a man's confrontation with his life. The main character is human and kind but flawed. A few of the side characters are drawn with unusual depth. Once I sank into this novel, and got through its slow start, I couldn't stop until I had finished. This was a suspenseful mystery and legal drama.
