My Pick of the Week!
A Spot of Bother is another great read from Mark Haddon (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time). Newly-retired George Hall is coming unglued as his conventional life begins to unravel. Convinced he has a terminal illness, his wife flirting with divorce and his daughter and gay son struggling with relationships, George tries valiantly to show the expected stiff-upper-lip as he goes politely insane. Observant and funny -- and George's attempt to deal with his problems using his home-handyman skills is simply not to be missed.
What are you reading this summer? Drop me a line and let me know!
