My Pick of the Week!

Trouble, Jesse Kellerman's second novel (after Sunstroke) is a gripping psychological page-turner. Jonah Stem, a young medical student at a midtown Mannhattan hospital, rescues an attractive woman early one morning from a knife-wielding assailant and kills him in self defense. His life soon becomes complicated when the woman whose life he saved shows up at his apartment and the two begin a frenzied love affair. When Jonah discovers that she isn't quite the woman she appears to be and attempts to end the relationship, he realizes his nightmare has only begun. The author is the son of Faye and Jonathan Kellerman.
